Senior Credit Risk Analyst-Credit Risk-Singapore-Salary: Competitive
Top European bank seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to join their expanding team which has won awards for its Risk Management.
The Bank is one of the top Banks in Singapore and had a very successful first Quarter which has been exhibited in their constant hiring. They need a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to validate and implement risk scorecards and Basel models.
The Role: -Develop and Maintain existing Basel II models and retail risk scorecards, -Conduct validation of scorecard performance, Basel II PD, LGD and EAD models, as well as stress testing, -Generate, analyse and monitor portfolio risk and capital reports, scorecard performance report and booking profile, -Drive the use of scorecard and Basel II models in customer acquisition, portfolio management, collections and other areas of the credit cycle, -Liaison with business managers, credit approval, collections and stakeholders to obtain feedback on model performance, -Provide technical leadership and coaching to your teams, and strive to take learnings from your team to the wider Decision Science team, and beyond, -Help steer the business in the preparation of business cases and resource plans for individual model developments. Oversee project management of individual model development projects and ensure all models are built on track and on budget, as well as managing the activities of teams working on such developments, to ensure that high quality models are delivered on time that meet business requirements and can be implemented, -Support the stakeholder communication process throughout the end-to-end model lifecycle, clearly identifying where additional stakeholders need involvement and ensure that all affected colleagues (inside and outside Risk, the business, IT, etc) are aware of the model development work and its impact and requirements, -Manage a large team of statistical specialists to ensure that their contribution to the business is optimised and that staff are developed to their maximum potential and that their overall capacity is increased, avoiding key skill dependencies, including the development of specific training plans, and working with all Managers to ensure they are developed and strengthened as their careers progress.
Ideal Candidate: -5-10 yrs experience in Credit Risk modelling and Management and SME, -Expert knowledge of modern risk management techniques within Retail Banking, and in the use of risk models throughout such an environment, including technical expertise of at least one major area, -Excellent team leadership, project and programme management and communication (both written and verbal) skills, including a proven track record in leading and motivating teams, -A natural ability with numbers, with the ability to work quickly and at a high level of detail and accuracy.
