This leading European Investment Bank is looking for a relatively junior individual to join their expanding EQ/Commodities IPV team in London who is looking to take on only driven, talented individuals looking for a challenging career, which will propel the individuals' professional progression making them one of the most hireable candidates in the IPV/Valuations market.
The candidate will work closely with the senior Directors, reporting to them directly (due to their flat hierarchy).

Successful candidates will be maintaining and developing price verification processes for Equity and Commodity products in the EMEA region, with primary focus on the approaches to independently valuing.

Responsibilities of the EQ/Commodities IPV role:
-Candidate will be working with EQ/Comm (oil and gas) products mostly, but also with the opportunity in working with other exotic products.
-Ensuring effective and timely communication of results and risks to senior management.
-Conducting pre-trade analysis of valuation and model appropriateness.
-Review appropriate valuation methodology post trade of EQ/Comm products.
-Conducting full book pricing review.
-Contributing to development of knowledge of the wider Finance team.
-Developing and ensuring the appropriateness of valuation adjustment methodologies.
-Candidate will need to build strong working relationships with senior business and finance management, risk management and fellow professionals in other support groups.

Requirements for the EQ/Commodities IPV role:
-PhD or Masters (or equivalent) in finance related degree.
-Highly numerate problem solver, good spreadsheet and systems skills. Strong numerical aptitude required, demonstrated by proven academic record.
-Candidate will be a self-starter capable of acting on their own initiative and confident talking to Front Office and Risk on issue identification and resolution.
